Eucodonia verticillata – A small rhizomatous species softly textured green leaves. The flowers are open and bell-shaped, light-purple with delicate darker spotting in the throat. Blooming in succession, they contrast beautifully with the foliage and display the refined charm of this rarely grown gesneriad.
The plant enters a natural dormancy after long flowering, resting as scaly rhizomes until the following cycle.
